Filament wound tubes have very long continuous fibers which add to the strength and stiffness of the structure. The manufacturing process allows for longer length carbon fiber tubes than our standard roll wrapping process. If you are looking for a higher temperature Tg, we can build almost all of these tubes with a different resin system good for up to 400F. Contact us for a quote! The angles used in the winding process makes the final product an excellent choice for torsion applications. And for high volume orders, it can be a very economical solution. Available in a gloss finish, a sanded matte finish, or with a twill over wrap.

Filament Wound & Wrapped Carbon Tubing
This tube is made of 100% carbon fiber/standard temp epoxy. This tube is laid up as a thin walled roll wrapped tube. Once cured this tube is prepped and filament wound around the roll wrapped core. This method of construction creates a tube that combines the characteristics of a roll wrapped tube (bending stiffness) and the characteristics of a filament wound tube (torsional or internal pressure loads). We have discounted this tubing due to this slight defect. These are very strong tubes! Call for quantity pricing.

LIJIN filament-wound, filament winding products utilize fiberglass roving reinforcements in a specialized epoxy resin matrix. Filament-wound (filament winding) carbon fiber tubes and carbon fiber tubing provide a very high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent electrical insulation properties and high resistance to corrosion.
